Southpaw Brewing Company was established in 2016 by three friends in Christchurch with a passion for craft beer. The ethos behind Southpaw is to highlight Aotearoa’s quality malt and hops by pairing them with complementary ingredients from around the world to create unique and full flavours.
Director and Head Brewer Cameron Burgess is also the Head Brewer of Beer Baroness Brewing in Christchurch which is where Southpaw is made. Cameron has been a professional brewer since training in Vancouver, Canada in 2012. Co-directors Penny and Geoff have been critiquing his beers since his homebrewing days and their direction has really paid off!
