Sawmill is an independent, New Zealand owned brewery run by a small and talented team.
The Brewery was established in 2004 on the site of what was once a local timber mill established in the 1860’s. Their brewing is underpinned by this heritage of craftsmanship and tenacity.
The team outgrew their original Leigh brewery, and while beautiful, it was bursting at the seams - so the team headed to their new premises at 1004 Leigh Road, Matakana.
If you're in the neighbourhood, head into their Smoko Room, a place in the brewery for conversation, community, food and drink. Go visit.
Thye also did amzingly well at the recent Australian International Beer Awards. The team brought home 5 medals (three silver and two bronze) for a range of their beers.
